    I have 2 Pekins now and we love them to death! Very sweet and human friendly.. I too say start with Pekins! We started with Mallards. They are not nearly as friendly but they will give you hours of enjoyment as they are graceful and beautiful.

    well good to know but will this change at least in perception? Obviously once the Pekins are fully feathered they will be much larger than the Mallards......But the age difference is so apparent right now. I feel bad for my Pekins because they are so loving !
