    Update on my baby chicks.

    Will they are almost 2 months old now, so i thought i would put up so more pics. The black one i have. It is turning out to be i good looking bird. And i think he is a rooster. My little rooster likes to sleep in the trees, He is always in the same spot.

    I think i have RIRs well atleast 3 of them are but i have a black one that has white spots on it. I got the eggs from my uncle, and the pin i got the eggs from had RIRs and white leghons, so i dont know where this black chick came from but i like it. this is the black one that i am talking...

    My RIR laid her first egg.........

    I went out to the coop and i noticed that she was going to the coop, so i came back later and she did lay a egg. I noticed that it had alittle blood on it is that noraml for that to happen. She is acting fine.

    Umm i got them from my uncle and what i saw that he had and what he told me he had, Was RIRs and white leghorns, and some game birds, but i got these out of the RIR and white leghorns. So i really dont know what type these are. But i will post pics when they get bigger.

    They hacthed, They made it through IKE... we had no power for 8 days but ran a generator all day and shut it off at night. They started hatching on day 23, i thought it would have taken longer. but there here. 13 eggs and i have 6 chicks right now, we will wait and see if anymore come out.

    DAY 22....

    My temps form day 1-18 was 99.8- 101. Hum. was around 38%- 40%. On day 18 i add more water and shut the lead and never opened it again, but i noticed that my temp went up to about 104 and my hum.. stayed about 40% never went up and i put alot of water in there, The temp eas the only thing that...

    Ok its day 22 for my chicks and there is nothing going on in the inubator. There is no pips, none of the eggs have moved. So ho long should i wait before moving them out. thanks brian

    I have my eggs in a incubater and i have to move them to a hott spot untill i can turn my light off of them!!! I was asking what is a good temp to put on the baby chicks when they hatch?

    I am on day 20 with my eggs in the incubater and i am getting my broody ready what is a good temp for them to be in. I am sitting at about 95-97 right now.

    I have some RIRs, but i dont know what eles he gave me. I just asked for 2 dozen of eggs. Some of the eggs are white, brown, and i have white and brown that are small eggs.

    OK it is day 10 for my little chicks, I candled all 24 eggs and i can see babes in 23 of them. There is one that i can not see but i am going to live it in there until the end or if it starts to smell.
