I brought my hen in a few days ago she had sour crop, she's better today up moving around happy and using the bathroom normally but I found this weird nasty thing in her cage, can you tell me what it is?
I have a broody silkie and my egg pipped today yay!!! My question is do I need to remove momma and baby from the other chickens and into their own coop? I read online she would introduce the baby chick to the other hens and they won't hurt the chick, idk how true that is
I've had two pullets get sick then die suddenly,
They are slow moving around, act weak but can still walk but prefer not to, won't eat or drink so I had to syringe the water for them then a few hours later died.... I'm hoping it's not contagious any idea what it could be?
One died 2 weeks ago...
Maybe ? She's almost 2 years old, no she's standing good actually able to fly up to her roost, laid an egg today, it feels full? I did give her some zyfendA for digestion problems
She laid an egg today, her crop is normal, her poop did look different like a dark dark brown hard ball kinda, no lice or mites checked for that, she is drinking will not eat and I've been giving her electrolyte water and vitamins but when I picked her up she did throw up a bunch of water!
I have a hen, I know she's not egg bound she laid an egg today, her color and waddles look normal only thing off is she doesn't act like she can or wants to walk, she doesn't act weak, but when I picked her up her vitamin water up chucked out of her mouth like crazy! What could be wrong?
I have a almost 2 year old hen, she looks fine her comb and waddles are bright red and waxy, her feathers around the butt are clean but she is moving slow and doesn't wanna free range she went back into the coop, she's able to fly up onto the ramp still and get on the roost, idk if she's sick or...
I have my first ever broody hen i also have a rooster, she's been laying on these 2 eggs for 2 days now and I didn't realize till today, I'm gonna let her hatch her babies, but I don't feel like she's gone anywhere to eat or drink? Do I need to do anything or just let her do her thing?
