    Is it easier to hatch with a broody or an incubator?

    Incubator in my case. My broody hatched 0 out of 9. My incubator hatched 10 out of 12.

    I have a dog crate. I could set it up in the coop and put her in there with the eggs she's been laying on. Then trade the eggs for day old chicks?

    Day 22 no signs of hacthing those 3 eggs. She's still sitting on them but she does get up to eat. I don't think they will hatch it's too dry.     If none hatch for her, I plan on replacing those three eggs with a few from my incubator.

    Other chickens keep going in there and laying thier eggs. I marked the eggs I wanted her to hatch..there was 9. Only 3 left now. I remove the new eggs.

    Yes..it's a nesting pad. You hose them off when poopy and dry them in the Sun.

    I miss counted the days..I started them under her July 2nd, so today should be day 19.
