1st time trying to hatch with a broody hen.

Yes..it's a nesting pad. You hose them off when poopy and dry them in the Sun.

Other chickens keep going in there and laying thier eggs. I marked the eggs I wanted her to hatch..there was 9. Only 3 left now. I remove the new eggs.

If none hatch for her, I plan on replacing those three eggs with a few from my incubator.

Day 22 no signs of hacthing those 3 eggs. She's still sitting on them but she does get up to eat. I don't think they will hatch it's too dry. I'm thinking of giving her a few chicks after they hatch in my incubator in a few days. I'm unsure the best way to go about that though. There is a flock of hens and a rooster in the coop.

I have a dog crate. I could set it up in the coop and put her in there with the eggs she's been laying on. Then trade the eggs for day old chicks?
