Well did the near final shuffle of birds. I really need to thin my flocks down. Delaware pen now has 14 delaware girls(2 3yr olds, 3 2yr olds , 3 1 yr olds and 6 pullets) 2 New Hampshire girls and a Delaware cockerel who replaced his father this year. The Pita Pinta Asturiana
The only issue is getting them through customs. I will be looking into it over the next year. I'm looking for a property to start a preservation farm on to raise several rare heritage breeds.- caychris

They are smaller birds than Barred Rocks. I have one girl from Suzanne's eggs There is a lady here in CA raising them I plan to get some from. Lost 2 young ones (5-6.5 weeks old) today and I think the one pita egg hatching under my broody del died from the heat and didnt fully hatch. Not eating hardly anything today but am giving them all the cool water I can. Ice bottles cool foot bath water Lots of shade. I just think the 1 brooder...- caychris
