    Protective Geese?

    Does anyone else have a goose that's super protective of a non-feathered family member? My Pippin (canada) is SUPER protective of her Beagle pup sis! She gets all worked up if anyone plays rough, or if a stranger or neighbor dog comes near the fence... just the darndest thing! here she is:

    that's what I thought...the beak doesn't seem to match. and the markings are difficult because (s)he's so darn fuzzy! well..I guess it'll be a pleasant surprise. anywho...here's more of my new waddle baby, Pippin!

    so, while picking up food for my pooch at the feed store, this little guy was among a new batch of mallards..I couldn't resist. Although, they didn't seem to have much knowledge on him. Age, breed, etc... ideas?! oh, he's just the sweetest thing too!! so calm and affectionate. I'm in love<3

    I, too, have mallard ducklings! They're about 6 1/2 weeks. (I also have 2) By now, on mine at least, it's very obvious that at least 1 is a boy, as the green tint is WAY noticeable. (which leads me to assume my other is female, as she doesn't have any green) I would *think* by now you would see...
