    Well when he internally pipped thru to the air cell (this is before the external pip / when you can see cracks) he hit a medium sized vein..luckly it wasn't the biggest and didn't bleed out.     62% is waaay to much for day 1 eggs, the air cell needs to grow so they have enough oxygen till they hatch. Second one is out and about! Very VERY noisy!! Black with yellow marks over it's eyes pretty cool looking, hope this one's alright because of the vein being pipped earlier. I'm gonna try...

    Checked today, took off the lil piece of bandaid I had over the opening and there was no more blood, looks like it was only a small vessel, scarily enough there's a very BIG vein right below the pip so that probably would have did the chick in if it hit that one...still peeping and lively...

    trouble with humidity...

    I had humidity problems last hatch...this time I got a small bowl of water and put it in the incubator like before, only I hooked up a little aquarium air pump and put the air stone in the bowl, agitating the surface and making it evaporate quicker! Kept the humidity right in the acceptable...
