    Yea I have about 17 birds 12 chickens & 5 turkeys I moved them all in the coop on the trailer at night so they were calm it worked out great took 5 of us to pick up coop and run was not fun its good size.     I am moving and taking my chickens with me in the coop they live in when I get to new farm can I let them out to free range beings its the same coop they have always had. Or should I give it a week or so with gate closed and not let them run right away to vet used to things

    All good suggestions but our driveway is a 1/4 mile long so that wont help we're not fightinging over that he just trys to hit the birds to be an *** and doesnt think there eill be any consequences his wife buys eggs from me every week.

    I could but that wouldnt help with him trying to hit them when they are free ranging. We have almost come to blows before thats why he wont talk to me anymore

    They need face time about 2 weeks or so before putting tgem together. Separate them with a fence so they can see each other but not peck

    My turkey lays from spring till late fall. If you have them sit and hatch there eggs they will stop laying. If you just leave 1 or 2 eggs marked and keep taking the others to eat she should keep laying. Remember its only about 28 days to hatch...in the summer i get an egg a day from her

    They should be fine I have a turkey that is molting she is even fine she just stays in the chicken coop right now by her own choice. Its warmer more bodies my turkey pen is only 3 sided and there fine also

    I live in central IL we will be around -5 in a few nights. All I use is a light to substitute for the sun it goes off aroind 10 or so and dont come back on till 5am. The have been fine so far and we have been at 7 deg a few morn now. Remember sun up is usually the coldest point in the day

    all the birds run together I give the turkeys cayenne pepper every so often and they olso get rooster buster. Does anyone else let there birds run together if so post your pics id like to see. I have 3 coops. 2 for chickens 1 for turkey.
