My first turkey egg today!!! Questions....

It is very exciting. If you have chickens as well be careful. They look like a chicken egg that isn't quite right. I would have not thought anything about it when my husband brought it in but my daughter said it was awfully pointy on one end. She was right so I looked more closely. Low and behold it was our first turkey egg.

My turkey lays from spring till late fall. If you have them sit and hatch there eggs they will stop laying. If you just leave 1 or 2 eggs marked and keep taking the others to eat she should keep laying. Remember its only about 28 days to hatch...in the summer i get an egg a day from her
