Im working on my incubator. From 0° the tray will tilt to 40-45°. Would I have any issues if I build a small gear box that would take an hour for it to reach the 45° mark. So from 0 - 45 - 0 - 45 and back to 0 would take 4bours. So from set to lockdown it would constantly be moving very slow...
I have heard of these birds, so I looked them up. The "real" flocks is locked over in France. And we have a breeder of them in California. Are they good for "pets" or just highend resturant food. Id like to get my hands on some. Thanks for your info.
When designing a auto-turner rack, how "far" do they rotate. If it is sitting flat at 0° is going up 45° and then 45° past 0 in the other direction for a total of 90° good enough? Also in the racks eggs are sat on end and then when in lockdown/hatchery do they just lay its side?
How do you know that there bird is a purebreed!?
..well farmer jimbob down the lane by the big ole oak tree said it was...then he shook my hand.
When buying or selling a chicken/chick... is there any form of papers to prove its bloodline like there is with other animals?
How often do auto-turners rotate? I have a small bator with auto turning trays that I haven't used yet...but am wanting to design and build my own setup. I read most people that hand turn do it 3 times a day.. could I have mine turn every hr or 2 or is that too often. Thanks again for the info.
Im slowly getting closer to doing my own hatching. A guy at work just gave me a new (never used) LG with auto turners and a fan setup so it isn't a still air. Can't be a free price. Anyway my question is...is a hatchery an incubator that's set more orless for lockdown till hatching... so when it...
I came across this breed and am have been thinking about them and would like to try to obtain some. I haven't looked too hard but just at a quick glance I didn't see anyone that has them here in the US. Anyone know where I could get my hands on some... or know if I am able travel and bring some...
