    Eye Problems. help please

    Thank you for your reply. She has no signs of infection other then the “gunk” in her eye. I have gotten Terramycin and have been applying it. It looks like her body is now trying to shed the “gunk” so hopefully in the next few days it will be better.

    It looks to me that it is a male. It is only 6 1/2 weeks old and the other one I have that I am sure is a hen is 8 1/2 weeks and has no comb yet. Thanks for any help :)

    Use a dozen eggs at a time...

    I have been doing this for 3 weeks. It works wonderfully. My recipes are a little different but it works so well to use up a dozen eggs! Each week I use a different extract in the sponge cake to give some verity. Next week I'm going to try cherry!

    We got our first egg today. The brown one! The white is a store egg.I didn't expect it this week. My girls got attacked by a hawk on Monday. Our head hen is still recovering but I guess the other girls were not too badly shaken.
