    Thanks everybody!! They et out almost everyday for several hours so they're not exactly free range. I think I will get some oyster shell and just continue with what I have.

    I thought I wasn't supposed to start feeding them later feed until they started laying. But now I've heard 18 weeks and then the lady at the feed store said not before 6 months! So which is it? My girls are 17 weeks. TIA.

    I just asked for poultry nipples at the feed store. They only had one option but they were threaded. So we screwed them in and glued in to the bucket.

    My four are 7 weeks today and in their coop and doing well. I'm running low on their "Purina premium start and grow medicated feed". I am reading conflicting things about a grower feed. Am I supposed to find something that's just a grower feed? Or shoud I keep them in this stuff? I didn't know...

    Will it be too cold at night for them?

    Oh they've been outside and seemed fine. They were outside the other day and it was really windy (I was running errands when it got cold) and probably 48 but sunny and didn't seem cold.

    They're 5 weeks and are ready to be in the coop. It's a high today of 60 but we will have lows this week of 38. Do you think they're ok with no lamp?
