    I personally would wait until the 4 week old birds get bigger in size so they can standup for themselves. If you put the 4 week old in with the 10 or 12 week old birds the will definitely be picked on.

    Yes they are very sweet and kind and did lay beautiful eggs but mine had tumors and died.

    My black Austrolorp (Dorothy) used to lay every other day but she hasn't lay any eggs in almost 10 months! She is a year old.

    My hen Maybell is a barred rock and she has been laying well until two days ago when we saw her separate from the group of other birds. She is at the top of the pecking order so I don't think that their is a bullying problem.
