    Blind Chicken?

I have two leghorn pullets and one of them is fine and the other has kept her eyes closed all day. Thought that she was just trying to sleep for a while but she can't seem to keep her eyes open for more than 2 seconds and I am starting to get a bit worried. I picked her up to see if she would...

    Transgender Hen?

O my goodness I was just out looking at my chickens inside their run and I see one of them get on top of one of my hens. I have all hens. I knew that some hens could grow spurs and crow but I did not know that they can fertilize hens. Can hens change their gender?

    Mixing Breeds in the Flock

I personally would wait until the 4 week old birds get bigger in size so they can standup for themselves. If you put the 4 week old in with the 10 or 12 week old birds the will definitely be picked on.

Hello there I have a Buff Orpington that has been acting strange lately. She will not leave the nest box and I have to manually take her outside to her food. She also makes strange noises. When ever I try to get near her she will act irritated. I have been kicking her out of the nest box for...

    Rooster

I want to get a rooster but I have neighbors close by and didn't want to disrupt them. I was wondering if a rooster shock collar was safe and if it worked.

    Maybell

My hen Maybell is a barred rock and she has been laying well until two days ago when we saw her separate from the group of other birds. She is at the top of the pecking order so I don't think that their is a bullying problem.

    My Easter Egger

Thanks for your feed back and you are right my EE started laying white eggs but the funny thing is I found a green egg outside in the run. I only have one other chicken that lays white eggs and that is a white laced blue polish and she's to young to be laying right now so I don't understand why...

I hope this is okay, but I need a little help guessing my breed of chickens!

The white one looks like an americana or a white plymouth rock. Your black and white ones look like barred plymouth rock.

    My Easter Egger

My Easter Egger hen is 5 months old but only has layed one egg. She is very quiet and sleeps on the last roosting bar at the far end of the coop alone. I worry for her but I don know if thats her breed.
