Why does Yellow Mustard help burns?

Mustard also contains turmeric which has anti-inflammatory properties, so I think the combo of vinegar and turmeric are what makes it work. I've used mustard (after trying every other remedy I could find after I cut up a bunch of banana peppers without wearing gloves and my fingers were on FIRE)...

What are we? Our "Adopted Mom" is Clueless!

Never mind...I'm tired LOL. Just looked up Light Brown Leghorn and they look more like my big girls than my bantam. Sorry! I need to shut the computer off and go to bed

What are we? Our "Adopted Mom" is Clueless!

Hello from Indiana - Brand New at Chicken Keeping

Thank you all for the warm welcome I'm learning already ha ha! We had them all out for a bit today and then again this evening. The hen has apparently decided she doesn't want to take any crap from the roos lol. They were quite the show this evening. My husband doesn't see what the...

Hello from Indiana - Brand New at Chicken Keeping

Thanks! That's what I thought too but she said it was too early to tell what sex they are and it's just the breed. It acts kind of roostery, but no crowing and I haven't seen it try to mount what I'm pretty sure is the hen. Ah, well, the joys of chicken keeping, right?

Hello from Indiana - Brand New at Chicken Keeping

We're a homeschooling family who just moved out to the country, for the most part. We've got a small place near a lake so a small, rooster-less flock is what we'll have. Right now, I've got three Bantams a friend of mine gave me - a Sebright and two BB Reds, one of whom we've just learned is...
