I have 4 chickens. 1 White Rock, 1 Leghorn, 1 Black Sex Linked and 1 Red Sex linked and only the Sex Linked are laying.
About 2 months ago my chickens had Foul Pox and while they all recovered, the white rock and leghorn are not laying. They both look perfectly healthy but nothing.
Could...
One chicken has Fowl Pox. Well I think my other chicken is starting to get it...the problem is, we have been eating her eggs.
Can we eat them are do we need to start throwing them out?
Thank you so much!
One of my chickens has pox, she is not laying eggs. I think one of my chickens has a pox on her comb. Well we have been eating her eggs.
Is that ok? Should I throw them out? Is it contagious?

I've been following this thread and I've been thinking it too.
My monies on her dupping us. Although its kinda fun reading through the thread. I definitely need to do this to my kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm soooo doing this to the kids LOL!
I have no idea on where to even start....
2 weeks ago she started dropping feathers and the she quit laying. I thought it was because of winter and less daylight but now i'm not sure. She has been eating, drinking, walking around, she has been acting fine. Although, I did see her lean her face...
My Leghorn is 8 months old. Two weeks ago she stopped laying, is dropping feathers and her comb is a dark pink (was red) and I think it's SHRINKING!!!!!
What do I do lol????
The post above is right.
The way I have done it (worked in the medical field) is you need to lance it. The infection (puss) will slowly drain out. Not only is this the only way to get the puss out but it will instantly relieve the pain!
My 5 month Black Star is sick. I separated her from the rest of the flock (which are completely healthy).
Symptoms are:
Not eating.
Very lethargic. Where she would run from me before she is now just standing/sitting there.
Her poo is hunter green with the white all runny.
Loosing weight...
