    Hiland Naturals Brand (Non-GMO ) Poultry Feed - Would like to hear your experiences please.

    Just got our first five eggs and the shells are really nice and hard with just Hiland food and no oyster shells. Girls love the food too.
  5. My first eggs, small but delicious. 2 of 6 girls are laying now, others are close too. My egg shells were the hardest I have ever cracked. No oyster shell either, just the Highland non GMO food.

    Where does everyone buy their grit.....what size?

    I bought chick grit at our local Rural King (Xenia, Oh), maybe yours could start carrying it too. Mine are 13 weeks old now. I don't know if they carry bigger sizes, this was in the baby chick area, not by the regular feed.

    Try hand feeding them grape halves, mine have made best friends with me since I started using this treat. I sit on an old milk crate in the run and they run up and take one. One tried pecking my toenail polish, it is sort of grape color, lol. They are about nine weeks old, just patiently...
