Leak Problem solved!
I redid the pvc line gluing in "T" fittings this time and then using another fitting/bushing to get the correct size hole for the cups to screw into and there have not been any leaks with the new set up. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

The cups also made more sense to me, but I have been struggling for a few weeks to get my system leak free. Can you explain a little more about how your cups are set up? Mine is a pressurized system, but I have a pressure reducing valve that is adjustable between 0 and 10...
Well I glued in the cups with pvc cement and 4 of the five are leak free. On the leaky one I went ahead and used epoxy around the fitting try and stop the leak, but it is still leaking.
My new plan:
I am now going to take my cups off this 1/2 inch supply line and go with a larger supply...
We chose a trigger style feeding system for our chicks to make the feed inaccessible to mice. We purchased our triggers from a BYC member (rockhaven) who also sells them on ebay. We have one in the coop and one out in the run. The chicks took to it very quickly. They peck at the trigger and...

I am using mine with a pressurized system. I have a pressure reducing valve(red thing in photo) installed and am able to adjust the pressure between 0 and 10 psi. It seems to work best around 4 psi as the sensitivity for activating the yellow "ball/lever" to let water into the cup...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I did remove each one and try again with the teflon tape. 4 out of 5 are not leaking now, but I don't feel like any are trustworthy enough for winter. Right now the weather is still very warm so the dirt floor is drying up, but come winter I don't want to have...
I am having trouble getting my poultry cup waterer up and running without leaks. I first had them installed in a 1/2 pvc pipe with the brackets that are glued in then the cups are screwed in to them. That didn't work as they split and cracked causing leaks. I abandoned that pipe and got a new...

I bought 2 of these triggers from the seller and received them in less than 2 weeks. Seller was very easy to deal with and triggers are working great.

Mine are loving wasps. We are catching them in the reusable wasp catchers that I reload with fresh meat once a week. We catch 100-200 wasps a day. I stick the catchers in the freezer for about 10 minutes to kill any that are still alive then sprinkle them in the run and the chicks go "CRAZY"...

I think you are referring to "oat groats"--hulled oats with all their parts(germ, bran, endosperm...) still whole and intact. Rolled oats are oat groats that have been rolled into flakes.

Ordered 17 Dominique chicks from Cackle Hatchery 07/21.
Chicks shipped 07/27.
Received 19 Dominique chicks 07/29.
All 19 are still thriving at 4 weeks of age.
That's 100% survival and we are 1st time chicken owners.

The organic feed mix I am buying uses camelina meal, so I have been reading up on it.
We here at Scratch and Peck just love this plant! Camelina meal is an essential component of our animal feeds to boost protein levels. We are currently working with a group of Western Washington farmers to...

I won't comment on your question about the necessity of medicated feed, but I wonder why you don't particularly like medication for yourself, kids or dogs yet thought it was necessary for your chicks. Sounds like your "gut" might be telling something.
Remember the feed store people...
I think that is a great deal. I have been pricing hardware cloth and finding it to be at least double that price. Cheap chicken wire goes for $80 for a 48"x100' roll here.
I need to find that deal on my craigslist.
