    sounds like just a few silly feathers, unless its blocking her vent, or causing any problems it should be fine. Make sure shes being fed good food and its not a nutrient thing. Its best to send photos with this type of question, words don't always describe as needed.

    Nestbox is at ground level right? Was it cooler out or dew on the grass/run? If they felt cold they probably felt as you might on a chilly winter morning. Just want to sleep in! XD I wouldn't worry unless they did it many days in a row. Make sure they have food and water.

    seeing as single comb is the result of lacking any OTHER combs over top of it, does this let me cross out any pea comb'ed hen on my list? That would also explain the yellow legs, instead of spotted or green like EEs or the roo?
