Hi all, I have been given 3 Silkies and their coup, they are over a year old and this is my first experience of keeping chickens. At least one of the hens is laying as I had an egg on Saturday and Sunday, problem is they aren't using the nesting boxes or the roosting compartment at night...

Thanks Silkie, I will try and get better photos. For the last two days I have had one egg, which would suggest 2 boys and a girl but then I have read Silkies aren't prolific layers?? Also no crowing from any of them in fact they are very quiet, but all seem relaxed. They got a bit worked up...

Hi guys, Picked these three up yesterday from a local school, need help sexing them, they are just about a year old, and a little nervous at the moment so I cant get great pics. Any help would be gratefully received.
