    I found one of my breeder hens with what sounds Like the same thing yesterday. Found a needle and went to go take care of it after have seen this post and it was gone. I put her in a solo pen just to monitor her.

    6 pipped so far and that's just the ones that I can tell for sure. So maybe wakin up to some wet butts wobblin around playin football in the mornin.

    Thank you all. Just finished gettin the brooder ready. Now if I can just somehow let them know that maybe they would hurry up and come on out.

    Good deal. I was prayin. I guess the eggs wanted to let me know as well because I just went to check for pips and there was 2 eggs rockin back an forth. I guess they are tryin to reposition since their turnover.

    Ok so I set 52 cotunix eggs on the 30th put them on lock down Saturday at midnight. Here's where the problem comes into play, I get up for work this mornin and on the the way out the door remind my wife not to turn the eggs well I get home from work and to my suprise she had turned them thinking...

    How do I get the quail to lay the eggs in the nest?

    I keep all my quial in 2'x3' pens with a milk jug cut in half in each one with sand for dust bath in them and all the hens lay their eggs in them. Befor I put those in each pen they would just lay them anywhere

    no prob. Critter its like anything else just add your flavor and make em how you want. Enjoy em I know my family loves them and its quite a pleasure watchin them fight over them when we start to get low.
