How do you get a rooster to stop constantly mounting the hens? He's a really friendly SW but he keeps mounting the girls and tearing the feathers up on their backs. What should I do?
One of my hens has a swollen eye and cant see out of it. Shes a BB and shes one of my sweetest chickens. Any advice on what to do? I tried to get pictures but she wouldnt stop moving.

If some of the chickens are eating the yolks, then I would suggest using golf balls...something they cant peck through. If they cant get them open, they will eventually stop trying.

The size and color of the eggs will vary until they get used to laying. They wont have a specific laying time for a while as they get used to their laying schedules.
