How many guineas is a good number to start with? I will be buying some from the local feed store in the next coming weeks and I wanna know how many I should get. I heard a dozen was a good number to start with but I was hoping I could get away with less. All help is appreciated! Thanks!
I have some questions. On September first my hen started setting on about 20 eggs. Now it's September 23 and no babies. Where I live the weather hasten kinda moody. Sometimes it is warm and sometimes it gets kinda chilly. I was wondering if the weather could change when the eggs would hatch?
Thank you all. I've had to make some rather different arrangements to my coop. Turns out with everything I already have waiting to go in, peacocks and guineas don't make the cut. I may try making a chicken tractor or something for some guineas and get them later on. :th
I planned on ordering some peachicks this coming June. I have about 15 acres devoted to my pygmy goats (2), few ducks, geese, and chickens. I have always wanted peacocks and I thought well why not build them a pen and put them in it. I understand with all these animals they have different food...
I have a couple questions on peacocks. Can peacocks live in a coop kinda like chickens do? Can peacocks live with chickens? Can peacocks stay in a coop during the night and be let out to roam and then put back in? How big of a coop can they be put into? What other animals can peacocks live with...

Thank you all. The coop is actually in the process of being built I'm hoping to make it 30 feet wide and 60 feet long. I was gonna make it plenty big enough so they could all move around. I was planning on having two pygmy goats, maybe 10-15 chickens and 8 peacocks. I'm a little iffy on the...
Can chickens, goats, ducks, guineas and peacocks all live together? I was thinking about getting some Guineans and peacocks, but wasn't really wanting to make a whole new coop. :fl
Okay. Thank you. I kept hoping and waiting that maybe I would see one trying to crack. I will discard these and try again. For my next hatch what incubator would you use? I thought about adding a electric turner to do my turning for me and only mess with opening when I added water.
I am trying to hatch chicks from a still air incubator, I've been turning the eggs once a day for eighteen days, the temperature has stayed around 99 & 101. Day 21 came and nothing happened. Here I am at day 40 & still nothing. I know there's something in them because I candled them and there's...
