    About 6 months old.. the flock is on medicated starter grower. Occasionally I give them some scratch mix. They have a hanging style feeder that sits on the ground under the bottom of the coop so it doesn't get wet (the coop floor is high enough off the ground they can run around under it)...

    How to cull a rooster when you don't want too?

    Are there any silkie or just chickens in general Facebook groups in your area? We have one in Middle TN and there's always people looking for silkies and other breeds to buy or trade as well. It's a good way to reduce your stock if you don't want to cull.

    would erythromicin work? looks like Petsmart may have it in stock (API EM for fish)... I found 2 doxycyclin 100mg capsules in the back of my medicine cabinet but it's expired. nobody has any amoxicillin handy or in stores that I can find. I can't wait for shipping to deliver next week :hmm:hmm

    Weve gone as far as we can for now... She expelled quite a bit more of poo and several larger chunks of shell.. it's definitely a soft shell. I found what I believe to be the yolk in the excrement. It was black and slimy 🤢 She's resting now I will call the vet to see if they can provide...
