    What won't chickens eat

    I'm about to put a pretty ugly coop up (a converted chain link dog run) I want to plant something growing up the sides of the fence to make it look a little better but my guess is chicks will eat almost anything I'll eat. Any ideas on a climbing vine that chickens won't eat?

    I have some quail that just started laying. Of course they eggs have droppings one them when I get to them. How should I clean the eggs so they are safe for my children to handle?

    I am about to start on a chicken coup and I've noticed many people leave the inside of the coup unfinished. I was thinking that painting the inside would make it easier to clean. Will the paint hurt the chickens.

    Pallets would be good but the ones I tried had VERY GOOD nails. In others works I couldn't get the nails out without breaking the boards.

    This is picture I took right before I brought it outside. I built it out of a bunch of scrap lumber. I guess the only thing I bought to build it is the hardware.

    I don't know how these birds get it done but it seems like half their droppings end up in their water and half in the food.
