Did some reading and seems this is isn't a big deal and usually heals on it's own. Saw some mentions of possibly having extra bits removed. This happened less than 24 hours ago....not sure how it happened and by the time we discovered it the bleeding had stopped on it's own, she's acting...

Wanted to follow up for the sake of completeness for others that may search and find this thread. My wife ended up taking her to the UC Davis Vet on Saturday and our chicken got the full work up. Physical exam, blood test/panel, full body radiographs, and ultrasound. They suspect salpingitis...

Appreciate the feedback from the group, wish it was better news. We have an appt at the vet on Monday to give the antibiotics a shot. She has always been super active and a great layer so hopefully she can overcome the infection.

Appreciate the feedback...she hasn't really shown any decreased energy, she's still eating like mad, laying eggs, and not a lot of mosquitos here in NorCal. But, best to take preventative measures.

Saw these bumps on her wattle the two days ago...Fowl Pox is the closest thing I've come up with from searching around, but they don't look quite the same as what I've seen online. They seemed to be bumps, sort of "popped" and are seemingly going back to normal. Being in sets of two like this...
