    For some reason he is underdeveloped. Isolate him to see if he fills out. If he does not become more manly, then something is amiss.

    I need to see more of him to say he is even a rooster. Show its back and tail. Comb, wattles and hackles that remain very under developed for a rooster that is 1 year old.

    My preference is to be able to hang cups or have so birds can feed from bowl outside pen. I am not worried about birds fighting through pens because the pens will be up on a table where outside birds can not stand. Will avoid the Filipino variety.

    When I saw your original description of data to be collected, it reminded me of what we do only once every two weeks; usually we have three or more people collecting the data. If you have to walk around writing, either your walking or your data is going going to get sloppy.
