  • Had to have one of my girls euthanized. We sent her off for Necropsy at UCONN. The report came back as a severe infection of the spleen to the liver. They described it as necrotizing splenitis. No signs of Merek's. The vet says this infection is a random infection, but asked how my flock was doing. My folk is fine! Should I us my sick Brooder again?

It's probably just something with that chick. I would give the brooder a good wash down with soap and it should be fine. Sorry that I seen this post so late.
View from dining room. A few things left to do outside run. The girls are loving it. We built the run, not coop.

My Little almost 6 week old Bean. She is an Easter Egger, and is much smaller than normal. Super sweet, but keeps up with the bigger girls. Any Idea or thoughts on Bean being smaller?
