    What is this on my roosters head?

    Hello everyone, I was doing my routine inspection of my chickens and noticed something odd on my roosters head. Can anyone explain what's going on here and what is the best treatment for this. Also my daughters are always touching our chickens is this something they should stay away from.

    Building a run - do i need to cement posts?

    Our posts are not cemented in but are dug two feet in. I did frame a footer and used high strength concrete for that footer. Works great to contain the substrate in the run.

    Hello to all, Newbie to the forum and to raising backyard chickens. We are currently a family of six humans with 5 hens two roosters and a bunny. We look forward to meeting some forum members and gaining knowledge to this wonderful past time of raising chickens.
