They start to lay around 1 Year of age- maybe later if you have a larger breed such as the Buff Orpington.

It depends on the breed. If they are a larger or rare breed - they will be a higher cost. Cheaper breeds, such as Brown and White Leghorns- are lower cost because of how common they are. It will also depend on if they are sexed or straight runs.

I’ve had experience with past time roosters.. They all just have a tendency to reproduce.

The vet bill was $250 just to get an X-ray and examination for my dog. It was even more money to put him down because the risk was too high.

Worth it.
