    ordered eggs last year an I got a splash and one that is pictured an the rest were normal cuckoos some were dark. I keep this guy because I kind of took to him. I have a regular cuckoo marked roo. I really like the dark color eggs. I think that the person that I got them from was mixing them up.

    Has anyone ever had a hen lay her first egg (very small) then one regular small egg an has not layed any for 3 days? The other chickens do not miss like this after they first start laying. Just wanted to know if this has happened to any one else?

    I have hens that are 25 1/2 weeks old an they still are not laying? They look like they should be but no eggs. Is this normal to go this long. I have a few leghorns that have been laying for a while an they are the same age. I can't wait till I see the real dark eggs in the hen house.
