They are 4 months old.

I was sure this was a hen until very recently.. All of my roosters have big combs and wattles. But this "hen" is looking suspicious to me.. Thoughts? 4 months old. It's the only one of the chickens with messed up tail feathers. Any possibility this is a hen? Thanks in advance!

Haha.. Are Wyandottes hard to figure out? My Ameraucana roosters the same age are crowing already and the Marans roosters have large red combs.

Hi Don, Just to clarify, are you saying that wheaten Marans in general are better quality? or that the wheaten will be better quality if not diluted by blue? I guess the genetics confuses me a little on this.. I would think of blue as being Bb.. has to carry recessive.. two little bb is splash...
