    how do you turn off the egg turner? I started eggs three days after leaving the incubator on (first time use) and now i am at 18 days and do not know how to turn the turner off (i have removed the turning ring but want the center piece to move. Thanks!

    wait, I think it is important to get away, even for a weekend. you need your time for recreation. Farm animals require a lot of work....even back yard flocks are a handful. I rue the day that things go wrong, however my husband, my family, my self, needs down time. Find a reliable sitter...

    Actually, I had two 4 year old chickens and one just died out of the blue one day an hour after I left them in June. Then Easter went broody three weeks ago, so I bought some eggs on Ebay so that she wouldn't be lonely and just for fun put in three duck eggs. I now have one beautiful baby duck...

    I gave them the vitamins (in their water) and the drake took a couple of sips but Rita would not even get up, so as per the suggestion I also put a flat bowl out with duck pellets watered down with the vitamin water. I'm losing hope for Rita. Crossing my fingers she'll be okay. Thanks for all...

    I will mix them up some electrolytes also......didn't even think of that. I rubbed their necks to try to get rid of any blockage, but that didn't work. So Hard to see them this way.

    I bought the corn from Agway less than a week ago and it looks fine (I keep it in a covered metal container). They occasionally will take sips of water, but will not eat anything else. The pooh is pretty watery, but then sometimes it is when they were healthy. I will try the molasses. Thanks...

    Just set my eggs... UPDATE: They're hatching!

    I have 5 more days for the ducklings. Going into lockdown Sunday. Broody still doing her job with her three. She is up high in the chicken coop. How do the ducklings get down out of there .........or don't they for a while?

    you scared me............had a thunderstorm today and my broody hen came out for about 30 minutes to eat ect. Afraid she wasn't going back in. but she did! Candled inside eggs. all seems to be okay. how is everyone else doing?

    all three eggs have veining and a black glob, but one looks "different"........may have lost that one. We'll see. Due date 7/19
