Help me to choose Rooster for my RIR, BSL pullets

All Roo's will institutionally protect hens...to a point..but that's why we are here. If you are looking for pure breeding, a RIR. If you're like me, and just enjoy seeing what pops out of the fertile egg, adopt or purchase any local Roo that strikes your fancy.

    Poll: Pullet or cockerel?

Thanks! That's very helpful. I've only had RIR's and barnyard mutts thus far, so this is my first set of "pure bred" chickens.

    Poll: Pullet or cockerel?

They were purchased from the local feed store a month ago and were listed as Black laced, so that's what I called them. But thank you. To err is human.

    Poll: Pullet or cockerel?

My turn at everyone's favorite game. *yippee* I know Black laced Wyandottes have rose combs, or are supposed too. Pepper (right) has one which is more red than Salt's (left). Pepper also has budding wattles, however no pin or saddles feathers to speak of. Don't mind the cord they were moved to...

What Breed is this handsome Roo?

Thanks! That's really helpful to know about the white legs. I can't wait to see the mixed colors. March 12 is the expected hatch day.

What Breed is this handsome Roo?

I pretty much assumed he wasn't after doing some research on them. Was looking for some feedback on what else he could be. Thanks for the reply!

What Breed is this handsome Roo?

I love this guy, he's a fabulous Rooster! My parents bought him for me when I first got into raising chickens, originally under the auspice he was an Easter Egger, but he's missing most if not all of the key traits. Mainly because his legs are white. I have to double take to make sure he's ok...
