Neither the blue or black have the "waddles" or jowl things like the splash which make me want to say pullet. But, I am still fairly new to being a chicken mommy.
I got these three about a week or so ago. Jersey Giant babes. Just looking for opinions on gender. I am uneducated guessing my white/splash is a roo, the "blue" one a pullet, and the black one, I am 100% unsure. It has a bigger comb than the blue, but is less vibrant than the splash. I was told...
The brown one has the right colors and such for the salmon faverolles, but she doesnt have the puffy neck. I will try to get a better picture of her tomorrow. Thank you for replies.
This hen, in my opinion, walks and stands like a duck. Haha She has feathers on her feet and 5 or 6 toes on each foot.
This white and black hen has feathers on her legs as well. Very pretty.
Another question, is there any particular reason why 2 of my new hens combs would be all wilty? Like when an orca is in captivity too long, their dorsel fin lists, I have some hens hose combs like this? Perhaps poor living conditions before moving home with me?
Thanks all! We did get the chicks from a feed store. According to them they are pullets. The sales clerks said 99% guarantee. I will post more pix of them at a layer date.
