Yesterday was their first adventure out. They loved it. One ended up in the neighbors backyard and we thought we lost 2 but I found them on the other side of the garage, thank goodness! All in all a good day!
Oh That is good news. We only have 3 but Im sure they will stick together. I havent seen much of personalities yet but would like too :) Thanks for the tips. I am VERY new to this so have no idea what to expect.
Well ours are 9 weeks old now so they are big but anyway my husband wanted me to let them loose while he was bbqing the other day and I wasnt sure if i should let them out. Guess I know my answer now, I will tell him the bad news. lol
Goodness reading all this worries me now. My city does not allow us to have roosters. I have purchased golden sex link from my local farm supply store. I was all ready to get Americanas but they were sold out.
I need to know if this "coop" is ok for my babies for the mean time? My local hardware store is out of coops and I am getting a quote from a local carpenter for a custom one. My chicks are almost 4 weeks old but are growing like crazy and will out grow their brooder very soon. It is already...
I have mine in the same thing but I only have 3. I do not have a cover and they are fine. I have more of a problems with my kiddos keeping out, but I figure its good for them to get use to the chicks so they help out when they get bigger. The chicks are only 3 weeks and growing like crazy.
Hi y'all! I have 3 3 week old golden sexlink (thats what is said on my receipt!) I am very excited to start reading some posts to learn all that I can. I want happy, healthy, egg layers!

What is save-a-chick powder? I read someone said to have a draft free place outside is this true? I have a very open temporary home for my chicks, is this bad? I am extremely new to this! :)
