    yeah i stopped using peroxide just saline and then betadine and the antibiotic ointment. she is doing so much better so happy with her progress.

    Bare butts... what is going on? (PICS)

    I have a couple that are like that too the Vet told me it could have been from stress from the winter and that they are pulling there feathers out. Also it can be bordem from the same food and she suggested I add more protein. hope that helps.

    My chicken is getting better here's an updated pic. she's gaining weight and started laying eggs again very happy with her progress!

    New to BYC whish I found it a long time ago. :cdHave 11 Chichens 6 Barred rocks, 3 NH reds and 2 RI reds. Everyone is so aesome on here and great tips, advice and resources! So glad I found it. will post pics of the girls soon.

    USe Hay in my Run for Mud but still smells any suggestions?

    I was thinking maybe putting my grass clippings in the run once i start cutting my grass again but thats not for at least 3 weeks. I might try sand and see what happens. I just need to get rid of the smell. we'll see! Thanks for the Tips!!

    USe Hay in my Run for Mud but still smells any suggestions?

    I have been using hay in my Run but after this winter I now notice a bad mell and the mud comes back pretty quickly even with a small rain storm. Is sand better? any other suggestions? Thanks

    Windham NH need special exception if you don't have 2 acres of land

    Me and My husband were unaware of the land ordiance and we are rurally zoned. after we got our chicken our neighbors reported it to the town who then made us apply for the exception.     Thanks so much for the advice. what kinda of bandage would stay on down there without her scratching at it? I really hope she gets better she is one of the most docile and gentle in the group and I think thats why she gets picked on. I really hope she gets better quick.
