    Ducklings hatched 6/8 (Boise Idaho)

I have 4 ducklings left. Local only please, I don't have experience shipping. The origin of these is somewhat mysterious as we have multiple potential mothers but they are all grey with yellow bellies. One is crested, so all should be treated as if they have the crested gene (do not breed to...

    First time duck broody, help!

Mine is pretty sweet, she lets me handle her eggs and check on the nest from time to time. She is doing a great job keeping them all warm and moist. Today is day 5, what should I look for when candling on day 10?

    First time duck broody, help!

Hello. My year and a half old KC has decided to go broody. This is the third time she's done this recently, and I have decided to let her hatch out some babies. The thing is, my drake is pretty young, and just got his drake feathers a month ago. His sister is not quite laying yet. There...

    Anyone have faverolles?

Any problems with avoiding predators? They sound like they may have a few screws loose and I wouldn't want a tragedy.

    Lots of fairy eggs suddenly

I had a hen that I got as a rehomed old girl and she laid one fairy egg, never laid again, and started "crowing" standing on top of stuff and squawking her head off. Towards the end she got aggressive and acted like a young cockerel, having little dominance fights with me and other hens. She...

    Chick being starved out

You need someone with more experience than me, I've only ever brooded a few chicks at a time. Try adding a third feeder but if she doesn't improve even with more food she has a digestion/absorption problem maybe caused by disease.

    Chick being starved out

Try putting in more than one feeder so a single bully can't keep her away and she has less competition at any given feeder.

    Anyone have faverolles?

No no, I'm sorry. These stopped showing up on my notifications. They look adorable and I will be certain to add one or two to my flock when I move into my new house.

    My poor broody KC

I have a KC hen who constantly goes broody. She will make her little nest under some tarps in the duck house, and happily sit on 10+ eggs indefinitely. I don't have a drake, so there's very little chance of any ducklings, but she always gets so upset when I finally get the heart to clear out...

First time raising chicks. Any tips?

Nutridrench is an electrolyte, vitamin and mineral suppliment that is absorbed by chicks extremely quickly because it bypasses their digestive system and is absorbed straight into the bloodstream. This is good because sometimes when babies ship they can get upset stomachs from the stress...

How to add a new duck to the flock???

Are all your ducks muscovoy or just the new one? I have no experience with muscovoys, but my ducks have been super chill (in fact basically oblivious) about adding new ducks.
