I still have all five roosters, and I don't have any problem separating them. I also have a welsummer rooster that I would be willing to rehome as well. I am at work right now, but hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post pictures of them all.
I have 3 beautiful light brahma roosters, 1 buff brahma rooster, and 1 lemon cuckoo orpington rooster. They are all easily handled by me and my girls. We just have too many roosters to hen ratio. These guys are about 10 months old. They were all hatched at my house and vaccinated for mareks at...
I always add a degree for under arm temps. When I did my pediatric rotation they did as well. Why are you using an incubator thermometer under your arm anyway? :)
So this morning my female fav seems to be doing slightly better! She actually flew up on the top of the divider I have separating her from the others in the brooder. The divider is made of hardware cloth, so she can see and hear them, and they can see her. She seems to be walking straighter and...
Omg!! You and Sally take such great pictures! Loves these!! How do you come up with such ideas for picures? Maybe I need to take a photography class. Your chicks are super cute!
Thanks. :) We have been giving the female fav vitamins etc since Sunday. It really stresses her out. I have scratches all over my arms from her fighting me. It takes both my hubby and I to get it in her. It's amazing how strong she becomes when the rest of the time, she walks in circles or just...
Sadly after all of my efforts, my little Moe died on Sunday. The female fav, (I'm not planning on naming her) has gotten worse as well. It takes both my hubby and I do get the vitamins etc. into her. Me to hold and he squirts it in. Last night we had to separate her from the others, because they...
I purchased my welsummer eggs from a byc seller under the hatching eggs section. He is out of Arkansas. He was great with communicating, packaging was awesome as well. And I guess the pics of the chicks speak for themselves. I am extremely happy with my purchase!
Hope you have a great hatch...
So I went ahead and gave them all their mareks vaccines. I think they were so traumatized, that they didn't noticed that there was a new addition. So far he is much happier in withe brooder with the other chicks. Thanks for the advice everyone.
