    Chickens breaking eggs

My girls move eggs that are in nesting boxes around and sometimes break one. I have 12 girls and 6 boxes but they only use two of them and then move the eggs underneath themselves. Anything I can do?

    Chickens attacking new hen

A friend gave me an Americana because she was being picked on in her coup. Now, my girls are picking on her. Will they stop after a while or will this continue? I've never added another chicken to my group. My 12 girls have all been together since they were 3 days old. They are one year old...

starting to free range the girls, accidentally

I was just going to ask about starting free ranging for my 14 week old girls (12 of them). I'm new to BYC and also a new mom to these lovely girls. I'm loving every minute! I will try to let them out in the evening for about an hour - but I'm afraid they might all ignore me to run after the...
