    I am cracking up! I work in a hospital; I'll have to remember to tell the doctors that one. They'll love it! My husband wasn't too thrilled to be putting hemorrhoid cream on a chicken's butt. I told him that he eats the eggs, so he can help doctor the hen.

    I came home this evening to a bloody egg and found a hen with a very bloody vent. She is about 7 months old and has been laying an egg per day since May/June. I soaked her in warm water and cleaned her up. I have moved her into our basement, which stays pretty dark. Is there anything else I can do?
