Hi all,
What do you think about eating 17 month old RIR roosters? I have three 17 month old roosters that I would like to butcher and just hatched another two roosters along with 4 girls. Have they gotten to tough? What would be some good recipes?
I have this one hen, she is my absolute favorite! she loves me so much! i hand feed her, and hold her no problem! Im on vacation and I in trusted my mom to take care of her! last night my hen wouldn't go into the coop even with feed! she was so scared of my mom that it got dark and my mom could...
Im so sorry for the late reply I have been very busy. Any way the recipe isn't something that kills the mites right away, it might kill 100 a day. Hope this helps!

So here is a curious question, I was thinking if I feed my chickens crushed grain in lieu of pelleted grain, would the pieces be small enough that they don't need grit to chew it up?
so yesterday I checked on my chickens and found that one of my 21 week old hens broke her wing! it is summer here and it averages 80s-90s, and I don't want to make the chicken over heat. So is there an alternative way to help the wing heal without impacting the natural cooling system? Or should...
