No I haven’t. I just got her a month or so ago from someone who needed to rehome her. This is the first egg I got that looked like that. I was able to wash it off and it was a white egg under, that’s why I was a little concerned.
Yes I have a Cayuga! I thought that’s what it was at first, then I assumed the shell was dark too, not just the bloom.

I just went out to collect eggs from this morning and found this egg! At first I thought it was from my Cayuga, but it washed off the bloom and it was a white egg. Any ideas what will cause this? I cracked it open and the the inside looked good.
I found an article that said to mix 8 oz dmso, 4mg of dexamethasone and your topical antibiotic of choice. Now I’m stuck on which one would be best :barnie I only have baytril injectable, not topical, but figured mixing it with the dmso will be the same.

has anyone used a combination of DMSO and furacin or DMSO and baytril to treat bumblefoot? How were the results?
If treating with baytril and dmso, how did you mix the solution?

You could always try some nutridrench to help give her a boost. Its hard to tell the full extent of the wound from the photos, but I would try keeping it clean with betadine or vetricyn. Its hard to tell, but it looks like it may be starting to get infected, hopefully cleaning it up right away...
