Unfortunately on Friday morning, 2 days after he started looking better, he prolapsed again. It looked nice and pink so I was sure it had just happened. I cleaned it really well, tried sugar soaks, honey, and the triple antibiotic ointment but it just wouldn't go back in. We did this routine 3 times a day. I noticed he wasn't eating and tried supplementing with Nutridrench, but it wasn't enough.. He didn't look well on Monday when I got home from work. As soon as I went out to check on them, he waddled up to me, and walked into the duck house to lay down. I knew he had given up. He passed away Monday evening. It's always hard when you lose one because its always one you've been spending the most time and effort to save. I keep thinking of what I could have done wrong or differently, but "Little Richard" obviously had something going on and I may never know to what extent. I like to think he held on until I got home from work to say his final goodbye.
