    I noticed this injury today. It looks like it could be a few days old. She has given no indication she is injured. Unfortunately I when I checked her again it looks worse. The flys and yellow jackets have taken notice and it looks like something has lain eggs in it. She is eating and drinking...

    Well the brown sounds like a female and unfortunately the welsh and the runner sound like males. No tail curls yet.

    Help with hatching

    Unfortunately all the eggs did not make it. We found another broke and 1 missing. The last egg exploded when we checked on it. There was a baby in there but it had died.

    There is just a small, flat, fleshy spot above the beak. No bumps and it doesn't go up the head at all.

    Help with hatching

    I made her a spot. She was super mad at first but she is calm now. Just laying on the eggs. She is stinky though. She was laying on the eggs including the broken one. I would have washed her off but I didn't want to kick her out of broody mode.
