My First Girls
I got my first hens three weeks before we were able to move into our new home. They were all a week old, and there were 13 of them. We lost one to some unknown cause around 6 weeks of age, but the rest of "The Girls" are fat and sassy.

Day Family Farm
We have the beginnings of a small farm here in East Brady, PA. We bought and developed our 13 acres in early 2007, moving our modular home right into the middle of it in April 2007.
Since then, our little family of four has exploded with growth! It began with my husband...
All my chickens free range our 13 acres. We had some serious stashes of eggs discovered a month or so ago, and watched the spots to see who the culprits were. I started keeping those girls in, left them in the coop for a week, now the eggs in the coop boxes daily finally equal what I should be...
Aw Deb, I'm SO sorry. My life is TOTAL chaos right now.
I do have your box, we are just flat busted broke. The hubby is the sole income and has not worked for a month due to his surgery, and now another mouth to feed. I've been trying to figure out how I'm gonna feed the chickens this week...
My first car was a 1981 Chevy Citation, LOL. I *LOVED* that car.
I was born in '75, so it was old when I got it.
I was the Nintendo generation. I bought my 1st nintendo with babysitting money, and was addicted to Tetris.
We watched The Fall Guy, Magnum PI, Knight Rider, The A Team...and...
Well, good luck with this. If your chickens are indeed permitted, there isn't much she can do. Beside that, she would need to prove they were a nuisance. And as far as that goes, you could prove the cat was a nuisance just as easy.
But seriously, I hope this just calms down and doesn't...
I agree. I would put a can of tuna in a live trap, get them one by one and take them for a nice drive to the shelter.
Letting them go out in the country as strays is not the thing to do. Stray feral cats become problems for people like me, who live out in the middle of nowhere. :mad...
I pay $10.60 per bag for Buckeye 18% Layer Crumble at a local feed store.
Agway:
10 lbs. oyster shell - $2.34
9.75 c.f. bale of pine shavings - $5.84
I got my DE online, it was $43.00 or so shipped to my door in a 50 lb. bag.

Doesn't work for me either, but I googled forest grove, or municipal codes and found this:
9.622 CONDITIONAL USES PERMITTED. The following uses and their accessory uses are permitted as conditional uses in accordance with Section 9.870 et. seq. of this ordinance:

Probably a silly question, but is there such a thing as too much oyster shell? I can barely crack my eggs, LOL. I actually had to strike one three times on the side of a glass bowl to get it to crack.
I leave free choice of oyster shell, and they free range. I'm hoping it just means they're...
