    Brahma chickens......where to find them?

I have been looking on here and some other places on the net, but I can't find these 4 sale anywhere. I was only looking for a few, 5 maybe, with one rooster. If anyone knows a place I could find some it would be much appreciated. Thanx

What made you decide to get chickens?

Cabin fever.....last spring I needed a project. It was never really something I imagined myself doing, but am glad I started.

CHECK OUT THE SIZE OF THIS EGG....6.75 CENTIMETERS!

Quote: That sucks, My chickens were born on Apr. 6th. I have probably had 5 or 6 dozen already, from 11 hens. There was one full week where I got no eggs after I switched to a cheaper feed. I switched back and have beend getting 6 or 7 eggs per day since.

CHECK OUT THE SIZE OF THIS EGG....6.75 CENTIMETERS!

The eggs are really fun for the kids, it's like they get a little present every time they find one. I think my daughters favorite thing is to check for them, she probably asks 20 times a day.

Will chickens perch on a picket fence???

I would say definately YES. In my last set of free roam chickens, my rooster stood at the top of my lot corner pole all the time. It is at least 6 ft. tall.

    How Long For Chick Starter

I was told 18 weeks by the local feed & grain, but when I asked my farmer friend he said he usually eats them at 20 weeks, and would have them off starter at around 12 weeks. I guess it probably depends on who ya talk to.

How to Tell a Fertile vs INfertile Egg (Pictures)

So thanks for the help on this subject. What I wanted to know sorta relates to this. I read earlier it is OK to eat the freshly fertilized eggs, but I wanted to check on how to go about taking the eggs themselves. I have just started the "chicken business." I have 18 chicks right now...

Butchered chickens for the first time today

I hope it goes that easy for me. I have recently decided to start breeding chickens for eggs and meat. I have 18 right now. I have 11 leghorns, 4 Americaunas, a rhode island red, and 2 others I'm not sure of. 1 is all black, including the comb, and the other is white, but I dion't think it...
