I have golden Sebrights. I hatched two rounds of eggs this year mail order with good success. I let a broody hatch last year with good success also.

Hardwire cloth. Nothing big enough to get in side my run/coop can hurt the girls.

I have honey bee hives beside my coop. Not a problem. Are they honey bees or something else? Pic's would be good.

My flock of Sebrights will be up to 9 shortly with one Roo. I was wondering If I hatch some Bobwhite eggs would the chickens tolerate them in the same coop?

I am running two hot wires. One about 10" and one about 15" off the ground all the way around the run. Maybe 120' total. My coop is hardened and the run is all Hardwire cloth. I have had deaths from Weasels and coon this year. Hoping all the combined security will prevent further deaths.

This is what I put up. I tried it my self. It gives a pretty good shock, enough so I have no desire to try it again. I put in a 4' ground rod to make sure grounding will stay good.

Just caught another. That makes 5. This is my trap after 5 coon. I am picking up a new one tomorrow.

One came out of it just fine. I ended up having to put the other down. She had bad head injuries and could not walk. I tried giving water and food but she could barley keep her head up.

The count is up to 4 Coons dispatched in 4 days. And all big mature animals.

I am not releasing them. If I catch them they win a free .22 to the head.

I did touch it. I even took off my shoos. It gave me a pretty good jolt.

Sorry for your loss. Fox are about the only thing I have not dealt with yet.

My coop and run also set on a concrete slab. No getting under it.
