I'm hatching some Cream Legbar crosses. They all have a CL roo and some are a Black Copper Marans hen and the others are a Croad Langshan hen.
Will there be any way to sex them?
I have had 12 hatch so far and more pipping now.

No spurs, but I read that not all roosters have them and some hens do. I did think this one came from a green egg. The dozen eggs I got were 5 different colors; I asked for a variety for fun. Assuming this is indeed a rooster, I'm glad I realized it now, I plan to breed the other hens in the pen...
I assumed this was a pullet, but "she" is quite aggressive and has the personality of a rooster. Could it be a cockerel?
Also, I hatched this bird from a dozen eggs I got from a local egg seller... so, no clue what it is. I had a broody hen, and stuck a dozen random eggs under her, and this...
I recently separated all the roosters of a second breed that was among the hens. How long should I wait before incubating eggs to be sure that I get pure breed chicks?
I am entering a Cream Legbar in a show this week. Does anyone have a well formatted standard of perfection that I can print and pin to the cage?
Any other advice for show a cream legbar?
Thanks!
I have not gotten a single egg yet out of a hen that is over 9 months old (probably close to 10 month, born in early June 20120).
What could be wrong? Will it ever lay?
I assume it is a hen because it goes "bock bock" and it DOESN'T go "cock-a-doodle-doo." We had one that went...
What do I do with the eggs that did not hatch, but appeared to be viable at the last candling? I am on day 22. 2 out of 12 hatched yesterday. There are more that appeared viable a few days ago, but have not hatched. Should I try opening the shell or just wait? no pipping yet. I had to help one...
I have some eggs in my incubator now that are 17 days into incubation. I have new eggs that I plan to add tonight or maybe tomorrow. If I have the humidity very high for the next week or so, will it hurt the new eggs? The breeder I got the eggs from that are about to hatch said they hatch best...
I have 12 eggs that are currently on day 14 of incubation. I have 12 more eggs coming in the mail. How do you typically handle multiple hatch dates in the same incubator?
I am considering taking half of the rails out of the automatic turner so that when day 18 comes I can put the 18 day old...
My daughter's favorite "hen" turned out to be a him. We had Velma for dinner after learning Vern was a better name. Perhaps some fodder on being sure you want to keep the bird before making it a pet :)
